Alrighty! Perfect timing! Time to return a favor to my dear old friend Den. I can still remember how she accompanied me to wherever our feet took us when i had my emo moments on my break-up last November. She took some days off her work just to spend time with her then heartbroken friend from Davao. She made me stay in her humble rented room which she shared with her roomie. Though it was not my first time in Cebu, she still toured me around and accompanied me to Dumaguete for an overnight stay. A stress-free week away from home spent with a true friend is really relieving. And now that she's going through the same sentiments that i had, ranting over a 4-year old failed relationship, i want to accompany her to somewhere far and different. The landscapes, beaches and the weather of BATANES would be perfect. Aint it good to get this trip for free from SEAIR? That would absolutely be PERFECT!

I want to see that smile in your face again Te Den. I will try not to give you any of my personal advices cos i don't have the right to. I think once you see a brokenhearted woman, you only see ONE brokenhearted woman. Different things happen to different people. Things may have worked for me but they may not work for you. 50-50 chance. But here's one thing i can promise, i will be here to listen and stay with you as long as you need me. It's not the people around you who will decide on the things you should do and should not do but your own self. Keep praying. Keep doing what makes you happy and try not to force anything. If it hurts then it hurts. The hell with the criticisms you might get for crying over spilled milk. Love hurts nga dba? Emo kung emo! LOL. I really don't know when this struggle will be over, but i'm 101% this will end. God will lead you to the right path at the right time te. Love yah DANIEL! mwahugs!

    7-Day Diet

    General Motors Diet Program

(thanks ate via for posting this)

This program is designed for a target weight loss of 10-17 lbs per week. It will also improve your attitudes and emotions because of its cleansing systematic effects.

The effectiveness of this seven day plan is that the food eaten burn more calories than they give to the body in caloric value.

This plan can be used as often as you like without any fear of complications. It is designed to flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being. After seven days you will begin to feel lighter because you will be lighter by at least 10 lbs. You will have an abundance of energy and an improved disposition.

During the first seven days you must abstain from all alcohol
You must drink 10 glasses of water each day

Day One All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consist of all the fruits you want. It is strongly suggested that you consume lots of melons the first day. Especially watermelon and a loupe. If you limit your fruit consumption to melons, your chances of losing three lbs. on first day are very good.

Oct.4, 2010. i'm doing good. had lots of watermelons for breakfast and dinner, an apple in the morning and a big guava for lunch. too many temptations around but i managed to stick with the fruits. hard but fun.

Day Two All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the amount or type. For your complex carbohydrate, you will start day two with a large baked potato for breakfast. You may top the potato with one pat of butter.

hmmm. today wasn't easy. i had to say NO to those yummy foods my officemates were eating. arrghhhhh!! i had to close my eyes and keep on saying NO! oh! i can't wait for day five! feast day, please come really soon.

Day Three A mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. Any amount, any quantity. No bananas yet. No potatoes today.

Day Four Bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. This will be combined with the special soup which may be eaten in limited quantities.

Day Five Today is feast day. You will eat beef and tomatoes. Eat two 10 oz. portions of lean beef. Hamburger is OK. Combine this with six whole tomatoes. On day five you must increase your water intake by one quart. This is to cleanse your system of the uric acid you will be producing.

Day Six Beef and vegetables. Today you may eat an unlimited amount of beef and vegetables. Eat to your hearts content.

Day Seven Today your food intake will consist of brown rice, fruit juices and all the vegetables you care to consume.

Tomorrow morning you will be 10-17 lbs. lighter than one week ago. If you desire further weight loss, repeat the program again. You may repeat this program as often as you like, however, it is suggested that you are allowed two glasses of white wine in addition to the instructions on the program. You may substitute champagne for white wine. Under no circumstances are you to drink any other alcoholic beverages with the exception of beer which is allowed. Any liquor (bourbon, vodka, rum) is forbidden. Cream drinks are especially forbidden. You may have an occasional cordial such as creme de menthe or schnapps, but you must always limit yourself to two drinks. If you wine, drink only wine that day. If you have beer, drink only beer that day, etc. Alcohol adds empty calories to your diet. However, after the first week it will help your digestion and settle your stomach.

    G.M.'S Wonder Soup

The following soup is intended as a supplement to your diet. It can be eaten any time of the day in virtually unlimited quantities. You are encouraged to consume large quantities of this soup.

28 oz, Water, 6 Large Onions, 2 Green Peppers, Whole Tomatoes (fresh or canned), 1 Head Cabbage, 1 Bunch Celery, 4 Envelopes Lipton Onion Soup Mix, Herbs and Flavouring as desired.

    Additional Comments

Vegetables as may be taken in the form of a salad if desired. No dressing except malt, white or wine vinegar, squeezed lemon, garlic, herbs. No more than one tea spoon of oil.

You have been given a recipe for the WONDER SOUP which can be eaten in unlimited quantities. This soup is a supplement while you are on the program and it should be a pleasure to eat. Not everyone likes cabbage, green peppers, calory etc. This recipe is not inflexible. You may substitute vegetables according to your taste. You may add any vegetables you like: asparagus, peas, corn, turnips, green beans, cauliflower, etc. Try to stay away from beans (lima, pinto, kidney, etc.), however, because they tend to be high in calories even though they are very good for you.

Beverages you may consume while on the program :

Water (flavoured with lemon/lime if desired).
    Club Soda is OK.
Black Coffee. No cream or cream substitute. No sugar or sweetness.
Black Tea = Herb or Leaf.
Absolutely nothing else except the fruit juices which are part of day seven. No fruit juices before day seven.
    How and Why It Works

Day One you are preparing your system for the upcoming programme. Your only source of nutrition is fresh or canned fruits. Fruits are nature's perfect food. They provide everything you could possibly want to sustain life except total balance and variety.

Day Two starts with a fix of complex carbo-hydrates coupled with an oil dose. This is taken in the morning for energy and balance. The rest of day two consists of vegetables which are virtually calorie free and provide essential nutrients and fibre.

Day Three eliminates the potato because you get your carbohydrates from the fruits. You system is now prepared to start burning excess pounds. You will still have cravings which should start to diminish by day four.

Day Four, bananas, milk and soup sound the strangest and least desirable. You're in for a surprise. You probably will not eat all the bananas allowed. But they are there for the potassium you have lost and the sodium you may have missed the past three days. You will notice a definite loss of desire for sweets. You will be surprised how easy this day will go.

Day Five, Beef and tomatoes. The beef is for iron and proteins, the tomatoes are for digestion and fibre. Lots and lots of water purifies your system. You should notice colourless urine today. Your allowance calls for the equivalent of five "quarter ponders". Do not feel you have to eat all this beef. You must eat the six tomatoes.

Day Six is similar to day five, Iron and proteins from beef, Vitamins and fibre from vegetables. By now your system is in a total weight loss inclination. There should be a noticeable difference in the way you look today, compared to day one.

Day Seven finished off the program like a good cigar used to finish off Victorian meals, except much healthier. You have your system under control and it should thank you for the flushing and cleaning you just gave it.

    fireproof

although love is communicated in a number of ways, our words often reflect the condition of our hearts.. resolve to say nothing negative to your partner at all.. if the temptation arises, choose not to say anything. it's better to hold your tongue than to say something you'll regret. be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to get angry.James 1:19

    a Prayer for Len

oh lord, we acknowledge your power, your healing power.as we pray now, touch the body of marilene. by your power, may the medicines aid the recovery of the injuries of marilene. guide the hands of the doctors and medical personnel so that healing will take place. allow marilene to completely surrender to you so that your healing power will take place. nothing is impossible in your name, these injuries are so small compared to your greatness Lord! We pray in the mighty name of Jesus,

    Amen!

P.S. i asked kuya aying to help us pray for my cousin earlier this morning.. then he replied with this prayer and told me this " you may say the same prayer to her when you visit her as you lay your hands to her - just as Jesus has commanded - believe in Jesus' power, ayaw kaulaw bisan muingon ang uban tao - "crazy" man ni sya uy! its OK to be with God :)"

thanks kuya ARIEL PANTILLO for this beautiful prayer.. luv yah kuya...

LOOK MA, I CAN COOK NOW!

oh how i miss my papa's cooking and my mama's cakes. i'm not actually good at cooking. i know a little like boiling and frying. even when we were still kids, i remember cooking instant noodles with egg for merienda and frying home-made fries in time for "Are you afraid of the Dark" series. that's basically it. and when we got a bit older i remember cooking my adobo over and over (well, actually until now.). papa taught me a little cooking when i was younger. oh yes i learned a bit. i used to do the cooking before i got a job. but by that time that i started working, my little cooking skill got really rusty. all i did then was eat, eat and eat.

But mama and papa flew million miles away. I was left with and empty old frying pan and a defective rice cooker. for days i didn't eat breakfast and dinner, not because i'm on a diet but because i don't want to cook, i don't have anything to cook and i just don't want to eat. simple as that. i got used to it actually. i go on a heavy lunch at work and a lot of meriendas so by the time i get home i'm all ready to face my laptop and go online until i get sleepy.

But things changed. I finally got the urge to cook and binge. Thanks to my new best friends: my non-stick cooking set, rice cooker, my black and red big bowl and my rock chick big glass.

here's my new best friend.... green just like my dear froggies...

here's a preview of my little cooking journey...

DAY 1 ....... ADOBO with HOTDOGs....

my cooking journey wouldn't be complete without
    cooking my forever adobo. lol

DAY 2 ... Binagoongang Baboy with mixed veges...

i swear it was good.. not too salty...

    DAY 3 ... Kare-Kare....

got the idea from two of my officemates... thanks Mama Sita...

DAY 4 ... Elbow Mac on Spaghetti Sauce...

i was out of budget but i wanted to cook pasta so
i passed on spag and went on mac... it was actually good..

what's next???? whatever comes in mind... lol....

so how am i supposed to lose weight now,
when all i'm thinking is cooking and eating
    and eating more??????

    VRAJ once and for all

    picture taken from fb

Who says Venus Raj answered Mr. Baldwin's question correctly?

    Who says she didn't?

    Well, I do.

Let's just say i think it was another missed opportunity for the Filipinos. She could have won the title if she answered it right. Let's just admit it.

    Let's check the video again....

BALWIN: "What is one big MISTAKE that you've made in your life and what did you do to make it right?"

RAJ:"Thank you so much sir for that wonderful question. Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Good evening Las Vegas... You know what sir, in my 22 years of existence I can say that there is nothing major major i mean PROBLEM that i have done in my life. Because I am very confident with my family, with the love that they are giving to me. So thank you so much that i am here. Thank you, thank you so much."
I don't want to put her down. I'm a Filipino too and i'm proud that she landed on the TOP 5. But still i'm honest enough to admit that the answer she gave wasn't really good. Everybody makes mistakes. Nobody's perfect. The judge asked for a mistake and she answered problem. Oh yeah! She got nervous. But so did the other 4 finalists ayt? I think she's not really good in answering questions. I have seen the Binibining Pilipinas 2010 Question and Answer Portion and i should say the others did better.

    So what can you say?

I am not a beauty queen and i have not been in a pageant. Not because i was never asked to,but because i personally don't want to put myself as a subject for criticisms. People will expect you to be flawless when you're up there, should be both beauty and brains.. You may have the brains but if you can't handle the pressure on stage, you should at least think a hundred times before doing it.

    FORGIVING and FORGETTING

I'm in love with Paulo Coelho. I've been following his tweets for months now. And now i'm an avid fan of his blog. I just love his special gift of words and wisdom. Paulo Coelho Rocks!!!

Oh well, he did ask for some opinions on forgiving and forgetting...
"I would like to hear your opinion on forgiving and forgetting. When people hurt you: do you forgive and forget? Or do you just forgive but don’t forget?"
hmmmm... is it evil not to forget? ... well, when people hurt me i don't easily forgive, much more forget. It would take days, months or even years. I kinda forgive and forget super later or i remember everything forever. I'm a woman of pride, i must admit. If somebody hurts me, then be it. Cease with the talking cos i believe more talks lead to more hurtful words which would eventually lead to not forgiving at all. Does this make me more evil? hope not. Well, i agree with what Paulo Coelho said "People who tend to be seen as good – usually forgive and forget. But I don’t think that this is a question of being good or evil – I think the point is about being just. So maybe the tendency to forgive and forget those that have hurt us is not necessarily a good thing. Because if we don’t do anything to people that hurt us – they will probably continue on hurting others." Makes sense right? It's too hard to forget something really painful. Forgiving may come in handy but not forgetting. When will those people stop hurting us if we end up easily forgiving and forgetting every time they hurt us? Guess, it's good to be bad sometimes ayt?

To all my kinda ex-friends: Maybe... just maybe... when the coast is clear, the ship can go home safely!

    what happened last August 14?

uhmmm... what actually happened on my birthday??

got pretty amazed with the greetings i got.. lots of love for me.. yay! lol

My lovely cousins, the cute little kids and the rest of the clan went over for lunch bringing in some food. Little sissy travelled all the way from Manila to spend a couple of days with us. Since she wasn't home on her birthday, my aunts decided to have a double celebration. 25th and 28th. As usual, it was camwhoring day again! This is actually the first birthday without mama and papa around. Miss mah folks!

Batch 98 had a Reunion that night too. But before the event i decided to have my hair done at Arlene's near Ateneo. Cut my hair a little shorter and had bangs.

Met up with Icholle, Argie, Anthrone and his girlfriend at Penong's but eventually ended having dinner at Dimsum Diner. It was party time after dinner at Kanto Bar. It was fun seeing familiar faces, trying to remember names and reminiscing events. Other BAD SAINTZ present during the event were: Patty, Aubrey R., Delsie and Joeven.. with a quick surprise birthday visit by Karl.

It was my birthday so i thought that gave me the license to get drunk that night. I think i had 4 bottles of Gilbey's Premium Strength plus 1 glass of RH(i'm not really a fan of it. i don't really drink it). i was still ok before we moved to another location. I even managed to go back and forth the powder room like a hundred times. But there was a sudden turn of events. I got a bit dizzy and did the waaaaaaark waaaaaark thing outside Blugre's premises... super exciting birthday i should say... too much alcohol!.. have to be alcohol-free for months... goodbye GPS and hello ice.. i'm actually going back to my Strong Ice and welcoming a new ice... Tanduay Ice.. lol

It was a double celebration the day after, mine and Dada's. Rushed over Picobello and had calzones and pizzas. DOUBLE TREAT!!!

It is indeed so fun to spend birthdays with the people you love. Cheers!
