thursday...

have to go out and get the most of my so-called vacation leave...

another food/movie trip for me...

and that means another HELLO DAVAO day! yay!

went out at around three in the afternoon on my yellow printed dress and flats..

first stop: CREPELATO Nccc Mall

i was just in for some pasta... no more, no less...

but the girl asked me if wanted to have some spare ribs to go with it..

hmmmm...guess what?! i said YES! lol...

i'm starving so why not?!

i had spare ribs, pasta and pinacolada ALL for ME, MYSELF and I!!!

i should say it tasted good, really good...

except for the poor food presentation..

they covered the whole spare ribs with gravy so i can't decide with which angle to take..

the plate was kinda bare but the taste was really good!

uhhhmmmm... i love this pasta... this is basically why i came to Crepelato today...

oh crap! i didnt realize i took no photo of my pinacolada.. sigh...

i really had a good time at Crepelato- Nccc Mall Branch..

very well trained staff, very accomodating but not annoying...

after having a heavy meal, i went to TIMEZONE again to play some hoops..

oh yeah! nothing can stop me on playing even my sexy dress.. hahaha

then it's HAPPY FEET time on 3D...

ooohhhh they are really cute...

i think it's a good movie cos i like cartoons a lot...

and what's even better is that it was as if i had the whole cinema to myself!

after singing and stomping with the penguins,

i went to Pronto Mart to get Chef Boyet's siomai...

they are really tasty for only P28 for 4.. you should all try it...

kudos to Boyet Tan for a delectable masterpiece!

after my chitchat with Chef Boyet,

i decided to get a massage...

so i walked from Pronto Mart to Zen..

but when i reached Zen, i changed my mind

and decided to feed my desire for pasta again..

and this time i headed to the famous LA TOSCANA!

since this is the first time i paid this italian resto a visit,

i immediately asked the lady what's their specialty..

she said fresh pasta...

exactly what i came for..lol

so i asked her to give me their best seller!

who cares about the price? i don't! lol

i mean this is my first time and i've been dreaming of this for months..

and now that i'm here, i might as well get the best for ME, MYSELF and I.

i instantly fell in love with the place...

romantic and elegant...

and the best part is, i had the whole place to myself!

oh this day is really ALONE day... lol

but in a place like this, i would rather have my man with me..

it's just so elegantly romantic and relaxing...

i will definitely have a date with you here soon my dear!

their whole fam was there actually, i wanted to take some photos with them

since i was the only one dining there but got a little shy..

after binging the whole day, time to get my well-deserved massage..

Zen Oriental Spa again for the second time..

but this time i opted for their Japanese Hot Stone Massage..

they offered me some tea while waiting cos they still have to heat the stones up..

i was expecting for a quick shower and my own locker just like before..

but i got really surprised when the attendant came to me and asked me to

soak my feet into the water and eventually dried them on the towel she was bringing..

and then that was it!

we went upstairs with all my things.. no locker, in short..

no washups.. good thing i had some feminine wipes with me

and a clean undie... i had to do the cleanup right then and there though..

the whole massage thing was ok..

i really love mine hard and hot...

i'm going to another spa next time, the one with free sauna...

and i want to try Ventosa too...

well, i didn't go out early today..

i was on the LOVE side of course..

i thought there's no use of staying home on my vacation leave..

so got dressed and decided to watch "Breaking Dawn"

Bella's wedding dress looked so simple on the trailer...

but when i saw the movie i got really amazed.. great dress!!!

this going to the movies without a movie date is becoming a habit now..

well, i don't really care.. it's kinda exciting though...

i won't let the day pass without visiting my fave part of the mall..

i played hoops again and i never get tired playing it...

there's a new place in the city called SUSHI DITO -Davao.

it's located at Elpidio Quirino Ave. near Sampaguita Inn.

Japanese Cuisine it is!

the place is not that big and they still don't cater credit card payments..

but i should say food was competitive enough with the taste and the price...

i don't hate him... honestly, it's the last thing i would want to do even if things would have to come to a sad end... along with that, i don't want others to hate him as well... so if anybody has any violent reaction on this, please, just please keep your silence.. that would be very much appreciated.. negative reactions will just add up to the pain as a mother blatantly scolds her son after cutting his knee from running on the rocky road without even asking how he feels.. a wounded soul needs a little bandange to heal not a sharp knife to cut in deep... everything will come in place at the right time, no much pressure should be exerted... just as a friend once said: "take comfort in the fact that whatever you did, you did with love." well, if it hadn't been for love.......

anyways, this is my first ever breakfast for this month...

and i really had fun singing my heart out with ghedilicious during our holloween hangout!!! dressing up for an online pictorial with a true friend is just as cool as going out on a real holloween costume party... i can't imagine how we'll do the christmas hangout then...hahaha

it's friday afternoon...

no work but i have to do an errand for mama...

but after doing so, i decided to go to the mall for an afternoon delight...

i treated myself with some good food and a laughtrip movie...

so here's the deal: i go to a resto i want.. and eat what i want..

which basically ends up with something i still haven't tried...

which is really fun, i should say!

it was good actually.. the sauce was great, the veggies were perfectly done..

but i wanted more shrimps.. nonetheless, the food suited my taste..

aaaaawwww.. they forgot to make my order.. i had to make a followup first before they started preparing it.. i just hoped right then, that it was worth the wait... and finally i got served! i was actually looking for floating mallows which i obviously didn't see.. hahaha guess i expected too much from the name itself..lol.. and the taste test? good.. it was good.. it tasted different and i liked it.. it was chocolatey and sweet!

by the way, i like how Bigby's dressed up the whole place... it's so holloweeny but classy...

now it's movie time... PRAYBEYT BENJAMIN!

if i'm right, i think this is the first time i watched a comedy movie on big screen ALONE..

oh yes i laughed with the crowd but not that much cos i kept on coughing while watching..lol

Friday means RUN day...

and no work day.. lol

i slept early the night before... that's because i was nursing my sicko self again.. oh well, i still am nursing my sicko self... i actually had to wear a face mask at work just to isolate myself.. don't want to see everybody else around coughing and sneezing like me.. lol.. i woke up really early today, as in super duper early than the usual.. prepared a decent breakfast for me and Niji.. and then prepared myself for a morning run... i made sure i finish 10 all-run laps before going back home and getting Niji for her first outside run ever...

Oh boy, she was fast! whenever she sees somebody running, she runs as if she was chasing something and eventually get's ahead.. and i had no choice but to run as fast too cos she's tied to me.. lol...she loves running a lot.. i just realized if we were to race, she would win against me... no question about that.. lol.. love u my bLack rAinbow!

i woke up pretty early today..well, i usually do when i don't sleep on my own bed..i took a quick shower and headed outside for my breakfast..i ended up at Chowking... Jollibee was too crowded and i was too hungry to line up.

so here's my Cebu Breakfast..

while i was eating, i checked on the Lay Bare site again so i could call them and make a schedule. I called and the lady asked what time will i go there.. i said 10am..

my FIRST BRAZILIAN WAX experience! woot woot!

i took a cab and almost got lost walking around the building. didn't know they were upstairs... lol

the receptionist was pretty friendly.. she escorted me to a cubicle and then gave me a towel and a cover up and told me where i could wash up before the big event.. lol.. i love what they did with the washup room.. they had stones at the floor, it was pretty small but it was clean and elegant...

she did it on me.. it was kinda painful but it was tolerable..the pain was just at the beginning, then you'll get used to it eventually.. and what happened after? well, i'm satisfied! i loved it.. it was so liberating! ;-)

they even gave me a loyalty card... too sad they don't have any branch in Davao.. it's good to be bare sometimes, if not most of the time... lol

call it bad luck.. lol

FIRST: Sampaguita Suites was fully-booked so we had to walk under the heat of the sun from one hotel to another. I ended up with C'est la vie Pension cos it was the cheapest.

SECOND: Crown Regency's DROP ZONE does not exist. I so wanted to jump and fall. I was so damn excited to do the free fall thing which they described in their site as "feeling the gravity against you as you fall freely down a 40-foot drop strapped only with a weighted harness without a cable." when the receptionist said it is still yet to come.. ouch!

THIRD: April and I went to SM to check on Lay Bare, a waxing salon. The directory said the salon is nowhere to be found. can i say ouch again? lol

It was a great bonding time with April though. She treated me at Not Just Coffee. We both had shakes. All i can say is that, mine didn't taste that good. lol.

My tourist guide had to go to work so it was time to part ways. I took a cab to Fuente Osmena while she took another one.

C'est la vie is creepy, i should say. The place was like a meet-up place for old foreigners and hookers. There were girls who look like hookers at the lobby so you can't blame me for thinking so..

FOURTH: my comfort room's light bulb didn't work. so i had to go downstairs again to inform the receptionist who then asked the guard to change it. booo!

no cable tv.. old aircon.. no phones.. plus i don't like the bathroom.. arghhhh!

so what kept me company then? oh well, my book, my laptop, my globe tattoo and my celphones..

it was around 9:30pm that i decided to go out and eat. i walked around the vicinity and ended up eating at Sunburst. i had a joiner around who stays on the same pension house and i could not shoo him away after i repeatedly refused his willingness to join me.. good thing his roommate and his officemate picked him up. aaaahhh what a great relief! i don't want any joiners when i'm doing my soulsearching thing..lol

FIFTH: 22nd Street was on standing. so sad! i had a backup plan though.. to have a foot massage but damn when i asked the lady at the reception area, they were already closed.. arrrgggghhh

i decided to have some drinks as plan C.. walked around the city for a cozy place to get some shots alone but i found none..all they have were bars full of people so i had no choice but to go back to my room and sleep.

what a day indeed!

today marks the 50th..so fifty it is!

i'm off the city.. miles away!

and yes it's definitely ME time for the weekend...

(patty and mac cancelled their trips but i decided to go on with mine)

my first ever ALONE trip..

big breakfast at the airport is a good start...

the plane actually arrived 15 minutes before the ETA.

so i called pring and kai so we could meet up...

kai and erich (who actually came straight from work) arrived a few minutes after but the three of us waited for ms. d who came in at around 11am... hungry! hungry! hungry! kai said we check Kublai Khan's mongolian eat-all-you-can! hmmmm... definitely the way to eat lunch.. a beastly welcome for a travelling doormat..lol

i woke up with a sore throat early this morning but still i have to bring my ass to work.. felt like it's flu time for me so i had to take meds this time which i usually don't do.. oh how i hate being sick especially when there's nobody else to take of me but myself!!! missin' mom and pop much.. good thing i have my triple chocolate roll from Red Ribbon, Secondhand Serenade on my playlist and my little Niji to keep me company.. oh yes! my Niji's such an angel... and snuggle time with her is just so priceless...
