people have been asking me, Why don't they see me on facebook anymore?

well, once and for all i am going to give them the answers here.

you won't see me on facebook because i stopped logging on to the site.

i just had to stop.

why?

because..

1. there are people i don't want to see.

2.there are posts i don't want to read.

3. there are things i don't want to know.

plus

when you stop doing what you are used to doing,

4. you will know yourself more.

5. you will know the people around you more.

6. you will know what things really matter.

7. you will know who cares if you're gone or not.

8. you will know who knows where and how to find you.

it's really not easy.

it's not easy giving up on something you really don't want to give up.

it's not easy having and knowing those reasons why you should give up.

and definitely it's not easy to let go of something you've had for years,

got used to doing and has been part of your daily life.

this act of abstinence has taught me so much.

it may look simple, but i definitely learned a lot.

10 Lessons in Life i learned when i gave up facebooking:

1. you can only be truly happy when you let go of the things that make you unhappy.

2. sometimes, being silent is the best way to deal with things.

3. not everybody around you is your friend.

4. you should know when is the best time to talk and when not to.

minding your own business and keeping yours will save you from trouble.

5. talk to the right persons.

6. try not to find out things if you think you're not ready to deal with it.

7. a time away from those people who has brought you hurt makes healing easier.

8. some things happen for UNobvious and obvious reasons,

some things just simply happen.

9. a person only hears what he wants to hear.

10. there are questions in life that you can't really answer by yourself,

the hardest and most painful is the WHY?

i'm not yet going back to facebook.

i am not ready.

and i don't want to.

honestly, the pain is more than the happiness it brings.

i'd rather stay out of it than turn my friends into enemies,

turn the people i love into people i don't want to be with,

and turn somebody i know into a total stranger.

so how did my day go?

well, i spent the whole morning with Niji as usual.. playing, eating and sleeping..

and here's our BIG breakfast! Easter Sunday is a feast day ayt?

i went to Sunday mass at around 8am.

so sad i didn't get to wake up early for the "SUGAT"

where the Risen Christ finally meets Mama Mary.

it has been a long time since my last super early mass.

i took a nap when i got home, recharged myself for my lunchdate with relatives.

on saturday, i was torn between going to Enchanted River with some friends

and staying home so i could go to our family's little gathering.

it took some time for me to decide cos i wanted to do both.

here's a chance for me to go somewhere new and far for the long weekend,

something i was wishing for even before the vacay started.

but i wanted to see some of my relatives too.

i guess family should really come first. i turned the offer down.

well, Enchanted River can wait but these little kids can't.

Nasasaktan din ba ang langit? Bakit tila umiiyak siya?

Alam ba nya ang nararamdaman at nilalaman ng puso ko?

Bakit tila yata napapanahon ang kanyang mga luha?

**sigh**

aaaaahhh! a little bonding session with my titas and cousins..

wine drinking and some catching up moments..

a bottle of Maria Clara and Cointreu surely did the trick.

i visited my other lola afterwards. i called my mom so lola and her can talk.

i had a conversation on ZUMBA with my cousins who were there too.

such a wonderful day. surely, i did not regret not going out of town.

now i drink coffee and tea when i'm at work..

and today i found a new discovery!

Terra-fic Dinner

i am not really a party person..

i don't drink that much, i don't smoke..

i am much of an outdoor person,

sports and similar stuffs keep me alive..

i stayed in bed for hours after my day trip.

watched tv while cuddling my pillow..

it was 9pm when i decided to go down and eat..

no more drinks for me.. what i had yesterday was enough..

it's actually NO ALCOHOL day today...

i took a quick shower and got myself dressed for another foodtrip..

Smallville Complex is a popular dining and nightlife destination in Iloilo.

Bars, Clubs, Coffee Shops, Restaurants, KTV Bars, name it they have it.

the night is really alive here cos there's no liquor ban at 2am..lol

whenever i go to new places, i see to it that as much as possible,

i don't get to dine at familiar restos... i want to try things which i haven't tried..

the idea of not knowing whether you will like the experience or not,

makes it more exciting..

TERRA Mediterranean Cuisine

the staff there were well-trained. i got myself a table near the window.

the guy gave me a menu. placed a bottle of wine and prepared my table.

i returned the wine.. i said, i am not interested.. if it was for free then why not? haha

i just ordered my all-time fave four seasons juice instead. lol

i was craving for pasta and seafoods.

so i got myself an order of mixed seafoods pasta plus an additional onion soup..

so full!

time to get back to my room and spend some quiet time alone again..

plus i have to wake up early tomorrow for my flight back to Davao..

last night in Iloilo.. sigh..

on August 2010 i went to Cebu and Dumaguete, that was after a breakup..

on November 2011, i went to Cebu.. my first ALONE TRIP, during those MIA days..

that Cebu Trip actually made me realize that i should never trade money over comfort,

that staying in a better and decent hotel really makes a difference...

and now, at the height of the Araw ng Dabaw Festival, i decided to leave the city again.

i just needed to go out and have a different environment..

i needed to think...

i needed to be alone even for a moment..

i needed it badly! it was just a must!
